We have a new list of films to see before the new year and to take you into 2018!

We love anything Film at Two Cubed and we’d like to show you some of the films we’re excited to see, what do you think of our picks?

We’re looking at December (which is sadly missing any new Christmas themed films) and into January to get your year started.

5. Insidious: The Last Key.

Release date: 5 January 2018.

First on our list is the latest instalment in the Insidious franchise, alluding to it being the last; Insidious: The Last Key. It looks to be a scary ride start to end and if you’re a fan of horror this one is for you. Now we know with these films they can be hit and miss but it’s worth checking out the trailer! With the tagline “Childhood fears never end.” We’re already terrified (skip this one if you’re squeamish or it doesn’t take much for you to jump).

4. Pitch Perfect 3.

Release date: 22 December 2017.

A bit more family-friendly and light-hearted. It also lands just before Christmas to really give you a bit of festive warmth. As always this looks like it’ll be another film full of harmless fun, antics and some incredible musical mash-ups especially because of its the farewell tour and a rivalry with their replacements! At Two Cubed we must admit it is a bit of a guilty pleasure, but we don’t see how it couldn’t be! With a great cast as always and some killer musical numbers in the trailer, we don’t see how you can’t enjoy it!

3. Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle.

Release date: 20 December 2017.

Anyone of a certain age will remember watching Robin Williams in Jumanji fondly but also being a little scared at the same time. The fear of wild animals running around aside this is another one for the whole family. Looking like its gonna be an exciting adventure into the jungle of Jumanji with Dwayne Johnson as the lead we know it’s going be action-packed. Are you ready to play again?

2. Bright.

Release date: 22 December 2017.

Bright is on our list because it looks so different, for one it’s not being released to the cinema, it’s exclusive to Netflix. We see Will Smith take the lead role as an L.A cop patrolling the badlands of L.A. But there’s a twist, orcs, elves and fairies also exist in this world! How do you police magic? Well in this action-packed fantasy film we’re sure to find out. It’s well worth checking the trailer out because I don’t think I can explain magic as well as how it’s shown in the trailer. If you like magic wands, Will Smith and one-liners this is the one for you.

1.Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Release date: 15 December 2017.

Obviously this is going to be number 1, it’s predicted to be the biggest blockbuster in December. I’m not to going to explain about the film because if you’re a Star Wars fan I imagine you’ve already seen the trailer! But the big question to answer in this latest instalment is Rey going to the dark or the light side? I won’t put my opinion in (but no she isn’t going to the darkside) but let us know what you think as we know this film will cause a lot of excitement and debate. If you haven’t already seen the trailer treat yourself and do so now!

That’s our rundown for more upcoming films. Let us know your thoughts or even if we’ve missed a film that you think deserves a mention!

Happy watching from Two Cubed 🙂
